Currently ongoing on our forums is a community competition, where a number of GTAForums members had the opportunity to sign up, in a bid to eventually be crowned the 'best Vice City photographer on GTAForums!'
The competition received a fantastic response, with a total of eighteen users all signing up. Excitement and anticipation then kicked in, as all contestants awaited the first round. The first round is now over, and the results have been counted, verifed and posted in the Announcements topic - here. Unfortunately, since the first round has already gone ahead, there is no more room for people wishing to joing the competition.
Do not fret, though, as anybody who is a member of GTAForums.com is eligible to vote! It doesn't matter if you love Vice City
with a passion, or loathe Vice City with a passion. It doesn't even matter if you haven't played the game for
years. What does matter is your vote, and every one is oh-so important!
So get voting! Now!! If you aren't actually registered on GTAForums, then be sure to do that by filling out our registration form. There are still three more rounds left to vote in, before one of the entrants is to be crowned the winner, so please, make your vote count!

Tomorrow morning marks the release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories in North America for the PlayStation 2 entertainment console. European gamers will have to wait until the 9th of March. The release comes just 4 months after the game was released on Sony's PlayStation Portable handheld platform.
The PS2 release is a polished copy of the PSP version, bar the multiplayer mode. The retail price for VCS, at $19.99, is a bargain for a Grand Theft Auto game with a whole new storyline and missions. Have a look around our GTA Vice City site (GTAVice.com), for visuals, cheats and anything else you might need. And if you want more, there's always Vice City Stories at GTA Forums.

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), which is known for the small rating icon they contribute to the the packaging of video games in the US, recently listed a PS2 version of Vice City Stories in their index of video games. The reference to a PS2 VCS has since been removed from the ESRB site. Certain websites are suggesting this is because Rockstar has submitted the title to the ESRB for certification. We tend to agree.
Even though Rockstar has replied with 'we do not comment on rumour and speculation,' we here at GTANet have seen enough GTA releases to know that if there's one thing Rockstar can be relied on, it's a consistent release schedule. Liberty City Stories came out for the PSP in October 2005, and a PS2 version followed in June, 2006. Vice City Stories was released in October 2006, so all bets are on a summer (read: June) 2007 release for the PS2. Rockstar will most likely officially announce the PS2 version in Take2's next investor briefing. See you in June!
UPDATE (FEBRUARY 7, 2007):
New York, NY - February 7, 2007 - Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: TTWO), announced today that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories will be coming to the PlayStation 2 system. The title will be available in North America on March 6, 2007 and will be on European retail shelves on March 9, 2007.
Less than a month until Vice City stories comes out for the PS2. Our June prediction was incorrect. See you in March then!

edisoncarter has released VCS CheatDevice 2.0 for Vice City Stories.
CheatDevice enables you to unlock various features, record videos/screenshots whilst in-game, and in general enhance your gaming experience. It was initially developed for GTA: Liberty City Stories and proved hugely popular with the users at our forum.
This is a preliminary ALPHA release for developers to start writing cheats with. This version includes all of Cheat Maker except for Construction Mode, plus a few of the built in cheats are enabled.
- Vehicle Spawns - a lot of the vehicle numbers will crash. I didn't put upper or lower limits on it yet, but when you get into objects like "cellphone", you know it'll crash if you try to spawn that. We need to start a list of what works and what crashes.
- Step Through Walls - works.
- Power Jump - this was so funny, I left it broken.
- Screenshot - should work.
- Video Recorder - should work.
- Step Up/Down - works.
You need to run VCS through DevHook to use this. You can install the PRX by running the installer or read the instructions in readme.txt if you prefer to do it by hand.

GamesRadar have become the first site to review GTA: Vice City Stories, giving it a final rating of 8/10 - a rating which has upset many of our users at GTAForums, who believe that the reviewer was harsh and failed to go into any real depth of analysis.

UK magazine PSM3 have published their review of GTA: Vice City Stories, giving it a final rating of 91/100. Some details from the review worth mentioning:
- You can fly around the city in a number of different aircraft, including your very own private gyrocopter.
- Vic can only swim for a limited period of time, and getting back to land can prove difficult.
